The thunderstorm below was chased during the afternoon on the 20/1/98 around the Branxton/Singleton area. It developed towards Jerrys Plains and hit Singleton with a strong microburst and heavy showers. Although it was not quiet strong enough to classify as severe in Singleton, Jerrys Plains recorded 55mm of rain in the 24 hour period ending 9am on the 21st. It is assumed that most of this rain fell within an hour as a result from the same system.
