    Barrington Tops, NSW
    20 June 2004

All the photos below were taken on the Barrington Tops plateau (1400 - 1560m). During the afternoon on the previous day (Saturday 19/6) a light fall of snow fell following a bit of rain on the plateau. The temperature dropped quickly and some of the rain fell as snow. The snow depth was at an average of 3 - 6cm (drifts deep as 10cm) on the Sunday.

Even though there was a lacking of snow, the temperature was very cold with it hovering mostly between -0.9 and -1.8°C during most of the day. These freezing conditions made the snow cover very senic. Icles were hanging from tree branches and shelters, puddles were frozen and there were areas of rime ice.
