New Radar Maps (BoM) Monday, 7 March 2005This week the Bureau of Meteorology released new radar map layers for there existing radar images. The new layers show the topography and has a wider rainfall intensity scale. Also, the new maps have more localities marked for easier tracking. The new map layers are available on all radar image projections, including 128K, 256K and the loops.
The new maps will be of interest to observe the effects of thunderstorms due to the topography of the Hunter Region.
